that I have to take those wishes or dreams out of the closet and turn them intobackbones. So I am in the process of rearranging my wishbones and fashioning them into a strong, empowered backbone ready to take on the world. It’s not easy. My bones don’t always line up the way I think they should to form my powerful, inspiring backbone. But I am working on creating one that will help me wish mindfully not thoughtlessly. Sure, I could wish for the frivolous. I could wish for luxuries–and that’s OK to do that. But I am reaching a time inmy life when I want to wish for things like leaving a legacy or helping others explore possibilities. So, that takes a backbone not just a wishbone. Oh, for sure, I will keep wishing for all sorts of things (because we are meant to dream) but I will do more selective wishing; with more courage and conviction visualizing my wishes into realities.
Oh, and yes, I plan on growing some funny bones too. Because, I need a sense of humor especially when my wishes don’t come true (and maybe that is a good thing) or when my backbone just bends a bit and just doesn’t give me what I think I want. So I am going to choose to bend a bit, be more flexible, and let my backbone do what it can provided the time and resources I have available. But, most important, I will use my sense of humor and the spirit of play to gather up my wishes and erect the backbone I need to leave a legacy and to help others. And I will definitely need laughter when I feel especially challenged.
So, what are your wishes? How will you create the backbone and funny bones that make your wishes come true?
