However I think we should be thinking about our purpose in life. What are we being called to do? What is our intention? And how do we use the power of intention to find our purpose? I like to use affirmations in helping me re-alignmy values, in re-visiting my strengths and gifts and in reframing the negative voices; changing them to positive affirmations.
I have made mistakes in my life but they do not trap me into feeling that I
am a mistake or that I cannot use what I have learned from my mistakes for the better.I have felt ugly in my life but I know deep down I am not ugly; my beauty is within and that radiance shows through my smile. I have been broken by things said that were untrue; but I can forgive, let go, and move on. Others know me and love me for whom I really am. I have felt guilty and confused but I ask for forgiveness and have learned to forgive; that gift of forgiveness frees me.
So when I feel all those negative things, when I hear all those negative
thoughts, and when I start to say negative words and phrases, I change them to positive affirmations; Instead of saying ”I am a mistake,” I say “I am valuable.” Instead of saying “I am not worthy,” I say “I am worthy.” Instead of saying “I am ugly,” I say “I am beautiful as God intended me to be.” Instead of saying “I am broken,” I say “I am whole.”
And I say these affirmations and more daily with gratitude for my life, remembering that I am loved unconditionally by family and friends; and loving unconditionally back to those who enter my life.
So what are your intentions? How will you use the power of intention to shape your new life? What do your affirmations look like?
